Stained Glass (Gallery Glass)

Stained glass flower!

So for a while I had left over glass sheets that came from old picture frames, and I didn't know what to do with them.

I did some exploring, looked through pinterest and saw that I can make my own stained glass (kinda). 

Things you'll need:

• Gallery Glass Paint (I bought a whole pack from Hobby Lobby so I could have a variety of colors ).
• Glass 
• Paper/ Picture
• Q- Tips
• Small Cup of water

This is what the paint box looks like.

I wanted to make my own sketch, so I did. 

You could easily print off a picture from the internet if you did not want to draw your own! 

When using the black paint you really need to have a steady hand. When I messed up I just wet the Q-tip dabbed it on a paper towel so it is not soaked and cleaned up the edges. 

It takes about 8 hours to completely dry. 

When using the color paint you have to basically pick the paint up with the black tool and then spread it around evenly.

I think it looks really good for being paint.

I got to get a stand so I can display it nicely. 

Up cycling an old gum container

I really do not like to waste things that I know I can reuse some how, so I was brainstorming what could I do?

My ideas on the spot were a cough drop container, or a tissue container. 

(If you have any other ideas please comment!)

Things you'll need:

• gum container

• paper

• scissors

• stickers (optional) 

• cough drops

• tissues

Super easy! You just take out the logo from the plastic container and you can trace the pattern on the paper of your choice. Or you could do what I did and just cut around the logo.

Stick the tissues in (fits about half a pack). 

I added stickers for fun.  

For the cough drops you can follow the instructions above and just put cough drops in instead (or actual candy). 

 I also added a cover to this one. 

I just cut it the length of the container and estimated the width and then folded it just a little so it can sit in there nicely. 

I also think this project is fun because cough drops do not come in cute packages like tissues do.
